    Can you prevent?

I am wondering if there is a way (without closing) can you prevent certain scripts from running if a scheduled server script is currently running?

Set a tag in a field at the beginning of the server script (and commit), and have the other scripts check for the tag before running.

scripts on the client should not run when a script on the server is running?

The easiest way to do this is that the server script sets a flag field in a special table when it starts and clears it when it ends.  The scripts on the client check for that flag field and exit if the flag is set.

Keep in mind that you will need an escape built in to clear that flag in case something happens to the server-side script and it fails to clear the flag...
