    Automatic Scrolling Window

    raphaholanda

Hi! I'm trying to create a script that can automatic scroll my layout (list view) to use it on Tv, where our employee could be informed about their next services. I don't know if its better to use a scroll function that every 5 seconds run "page down" or use "go to next record", setting a loop for this. Can anyone help me? Could you give me an example for this loop? I appreciate.. Regards

Go to next record will be easier to manage. Use a form view designed to fit the display with no scroll needed and move from record to record, layout to layout or slide control panel to slide control panel as needed.

A looping script could be very simple if it moves from record to record:

          Show All Records

          Go to Record/Request/Page [first]

          Loop

              Pause/Resume [5 seconds]

Go to Record/Request/Page [Next ; Exit after last ]

          End Loop

Or this could be a script that cycles endlessly:

          Show All Records

          Go to Record/Request/Page [first]

          Loop

              Pause/Resume [5 seconds]

              If [ Get (RecordNumber ) = Get ( FoundCount ) // on last record ]

                 Go to Record/Request/Page [First ]

              Else

                 Go to Record/Request/Page [Next ]

              End If

              Exit Script if [ Get (ModifierKeys ) > 0 ]

          End Loop

The exit script step stops the endless cycling if you hold down a modifier key such as shift or ctrl.
