I have a report based on a One to Many Relationship, tables called Processes and Outputs.
The report shows Process Records at the top with summary of the total Output (Sub Summary Part). Below that, each individual line item Output is listed (Body).
I would like a Trailing Grand Summary that totals all of the total Outputs if there is more than one Process Record. Right now when using a Summary field based on the Total Outputs in the related table I am only getting the value for the last record listed.
Do I need to base my layout on a different table? Or should I be using a calculation field instead of summary? Any help or clues would be greatly appreciated.
Your report layout should be based on Outputs instead of Processes. By basing the report on your child table and sorting to group them by Process, you can group your records and summary fields defined in outputs can now produce both sub totals in sub summary parts and grand totals in grand summary, header or footer layout parts.
