Yes, that's good for adding new favourites and editing existing ones.
Sadly, I was trying to clean up my rambling list by deleting a few
Great point. FMI will need to fix that. Thanks for the post Jonathan.
The delete option is there, it is just disguised in REALLY poor UI design and terminology that has been there since the current iteration of the launch center was introduced in...(14?)
If you unstar it, it moves to the bottom of the list. And then if you leave the Launch Center and come back, it will be gone. A 'delete' button and right-click context menu option would have been MUCH more intuitive, and the fact that it doesn't disappear right away just adds to the confusion. (On the other hand, you can use this anomaly as a workaround to the lack of a 'sort' feature on this list; by unstarring/starring in alphabetical order, you can update the list's sorted order.)
Jonathan Jeffery (et al):
Thank you for your posts and comments.
The "Manage Favorites" omission from the "Open Favorite" sub-menu was reported during the beta testing, and it has been marked as a design change. Therefore, I recommend that you post to the Product Ideas board at:
The Product Ideas board is monitored by Product Management and Development. All entries are read, discussed and considered for possible (re)implementation in a future release.

I absolutely agree with Howard -- this is a ridiculous design choice! The star symbol is meaningless, and you are in a situation where, effectively, a delete takes place with no warning or confirmation. If it's 'design change', it's a rather lame one!
Furthermore, FM's own help page on the matter is actively misleading (specifically stated to apply to FM16):
The Knowledge Base Article (#11875) is definitely not updated for FileMaker Pro 16. I have alerted the person responsible for the article. Thank you for pointing this out.
