"When I Export to Excel in a script, all records in the found set are exported"
That is exactly how it functions.
If you want to change the found set you will have to script a find.
In order to diagnose the calculation issue you will have to post at least the calculations and the field settings.
Thanks for your reply.
To clarify: The correct calculated data appears in the FileMaker calculation fields. The problem is that the data for those fields is not exported to Excel and I can't figure out why it isn't.
what is "odd" that Excel cannot accept it?
Solved my own problem. In setting up the calculated fields, I indicated that the result should be a number instead of a date, thus zeros were returned instead of dates.
coherent kris put me on the right track. Thanks.
Good! The calculation dialog used to take shortcuts once, IIRC, where typing a control/command combo would change the result type. Now (at least on MacOS) you can tab into the "Calculations result is" and use the type-ahead to select, then tab out. It doesn't really seem consistent (for me), so now I always check the selections on the lower left before clicking the "OK"!
