That is sad news.
No idea why this happened, but taking a look on the postings I find nothing offending there.
I get myself a lot of criticism about things I do and over the years got to have a thick skin and not to freak out each time someone writes something attacking me. I would expect FileMaker to themselves know how to manage criticism and improve products and services to convince people that their way is the right one.
very strange! I still believe that it is an issue with this forum )-:
It is not better than the old RightNow, it's really bad SW IMHO (at least when on iPad..)
Let's hope it's technical, hopefully TS will update us on this
Both members (including another member) have been temporarily deactivated for breaking multiple parts of the Community Use Agreement.
The offending thread has been removed from the Community.
Thank You very much for clarifying!
Just a question: Those members have been warned? It looks like they just found themselfes deactivated - without a warning

Pls note that Europeans are sensitive in this respect because other social media (like Facebook, Youtube and Twitter) are censoring and shaddow banning opinions who who seem to be against the medial-political cartell.
I know Benjamin Fehr as a very engaged member and evangelist of the FileMaker platform, so I am am sure that he is willing to accept a feedback in case that one of his posted comments are not seen as appropriate.
With kind regards from Europe
Time to go ... Time to go (PinkFloyd)
for this forum
for this platform
They are kicking me out anyway:
- no runtime in the future or no idea what to offer instead, despite the fact that keeping and making the runtime better is a top 20 feature wish: Runtime - Instead of calling it deprecated, make it a Unique selling point for FMPA (but of course: "they are listening". To whom may I ask?
- most new features of 16 not for the runtime (look at the new functions and script steps help)
- runtime not mentioned as a feature for Advanced anymore (read the signs ... Build powerful custom apps faster | FileMaker Pro Advanced )
This is the end my friend.

So After the thread is done, we can go back to normal.
TSGal: You can activate the two Swiss accounts back and we all enjoy live as normal.
Later today is the FileMaker 16 launch event in the Swiss and I would not enjoy if this forum is a big topic there!
I expect the two developers to be there.
Thank you for letting us know about that.
Also, i know you are not implied in this process, but do you have any idea about what "temporarily" means for each one of them ?

Yesterday, a decision was made to make this a 7-day deactivation for both members.
Of course one might have to make some tough decisions in some cases. And if you have build your business model on "free" of charge ... no income to FileMaker, you are perhaps in the situation that when a deal sound to good to be true it probably is .. just that.
It is years ago now when FileMaker deprecated the runtime, and as usual FileMaker is warning in very very good time.
If we really needed the runtime we could probably have argued strongly for the de-deprecation of it.
If it was important to us we would have had to enter into a constructive dialog with Filemaker Inc, perhaps suggesting a new business model with the runtime as a cheaper option like a small percentage of a FileMaker Pro client.
But a lot of the relatively few people who have advocated for the Runtime have been very "anti" in their way of communicating.
And I remember that I tried to get into dialog with you a long time ago, suggesting bringing up your issue with FileMaker Inc in a constructive way ... paving a road to a compromise that would work for you and create revenue for FileMaker at the same time.
You where very repellent to that suggestion.
I do not know when the runtime will disappear. It is still in 16 and thus available for another year ... perhaps not in the next version ... who know.
But if I where you I would look at the solution bundle option. I understand that you are distributing/selling very high numbers of FileMaker runtime apps that you get for free from FileMaker. Did I get it right ... in the thousands or more than that ... hard to remember from old discussions.
If your business model is sound I am sure that you will be able to work out a very special agreement with FileMaker, but of course not anything like "free".
My point is, although I do of course not want you to leave the platform, that if you need to do so, then it's your decision.
If you do not leave and remain a part of the community, which I hope you will, then perhaps you will feel happier with a more positive approach.
And even better ... would be great to meet at Devcon in Phoenix.
