Everything works fine in FileMaker Go 15, however, upon upgrading to FileMaker Go 16, I now receive the following Error message:
"Your access privileges do not allow you to perform this action."
GetAsURLEncoded ("fmp://$/" & Get(FileName) & ".fmp12?script=insert_barcode") ] [ No dialog ]
The use of the fmp protocol is the issue. FM16 is tougher on security and disables the use of the fmp protocol by default. In your file, when you have it open in 16, you have to explicitly grant the permission for each priv set that needs it.
It's described here:
Thank you @wimdecorte.
I also have this issue as a admin, full access with all privileges selected.
I use the "onEnter" script trigger to trigger a simple insert from device script.
But it doesn't work and keeps giving me this error.
and the extended priviledges are set? In 16, these priv's have to be set also for the admin with full access
Insert from Device [Products::BarCode ; Type: Bar Code ; Camera : Back ; Resolution: Full ]
This is the script that gets triggered onFieldEntry.
Not sure what I'm missing here.
I've managed to get it to work in FM Go 15. FM Go 16 keeps nagging privileges for some reason.
try enableing the disabeled settings - is the solution hosted?
I believe you need to make sure you have fmurlscript checked and the field you are storing the scanned barcode into should be a text field.
Doesn't seem to work no.
I host the solution myself on a dedicated server with MacStadium (FM server 16).
Mine now gets stored inside a container. A textfield then pulls the data from the container as a string.
Works flawless on FM GO 15. Not on 16 for whatever reason. fmurlscript is enabled.
