Just started to use FM 16 and the inspector is going blank/crashing when I'm clicking on the following:
* I've tried different files with the same result.
* I need to relaunch FM to get it to work.
Since the Plugin is supported, I would suggest uninstalling FMPA, reboot, then reinstall. After reinstalling test, If everything OK then install the plugin and test. I would test with a starter solution.
I have had flawless performance from FM16 so far. What is your setup—platform, OS, etc?
tested under 10.12 on a MacBook 15" TouchBar -> no problems
I've seen this in a forum (maybe here) but did not happen on one of my machines. Plugins? Older Plugins?
Same issue here on Windows 10 with FMPA 16.0.1.
I'm on Mac 10.12.4 and I do have plug-in 360works FTPeek
disable the plugins -just for a check...
I agree with Markus. I haven't had any issues with FM16. I have seen post with crashes caused by incompatible plugins.
I've contacted 360 works to see if there are any issues with their plug-in. Going to disable it for testing and will report back later today.
We have tested FTPeek with FileMaker Advanced 16 and it works fine, thanks for checking!
Sounds good. I will test and post soon. Thank you.
easiest thing to do:
- remove all plugins from the plugin-folder, copy them to the desktop (i.e.)
(either in programs...FileMaker.../Extensions or in Library/Application Support/FileMaker/Extensions)
If the test doesn't show any better, remove FileMaker and reinstall. If it's a plugin, reinstalling alone might not help - if plugins are in Lib'
We've had it (well... _me_, I was the dummy) that an older version of a plugin was installed..
btw. Are there any 'helper' utilities installed (on OS level) that could cause the problem?
Found the issue.....Thanks Shamblee.
Found out it was the plug-in after the reinstall. Went to the 360 website and grab the new version of FTPeek. thank you all for the help.
