FileMaker Go 16 on iPad: Turn Off Navigation Buttons

I have tried out the new Card feature in FM16 and it is just great. However, what I noticed is that whenever the keyboard (internal or external) pops up on my iPad, I get enabled navigation keys and buttons to add/remove records (see image), which is also the case when editing fields on non-card windows but I do not care too much there as navigation is ok. Menu and Toolbar are both set to hide. When I load the same file on an iPhone, I do see the navigation keys but they are all greyed out, which again is ok.

I noticed that the same behaviour was already there in previous FM GO versions and it never mattered really but now that I use Cards to create new records in other tables, I cannot have the user navigate.

Am I missing something here?

Addendum: Omitting all records and then creating a new record at least mitigates the problem of the user being able to browse, but it still does not solve my problem that I'd prefer the < and > not to be shown.
