IS there only one file involved? Privilege sets are scoped at the file level, so if you have two (or more) files, the "lightly" restricted privilege set will need to allow Printing of the data in file in which that data is stored.
Assuming one file, is there a custom menu set installed with the File Menu or the Print Submenu removed?
It is all one file...
I was using the File Menu option and had them to a restricted set of menu commands.
I opened those rights and they have access us the file/command.
Thank you for making me look deeper. I guess I'll work on a script to file/saveas/pdf option.
It's likely the Print (Sub)Menu has been removed from your limited menu set, which will remove the ability to use the Save as PDF in the FileMaker Status Area.
If you are happy with the rest of the restrictions in the privilege set, the best way around this might be to set up a script to save the report, and allow that script to run with full access privileges.
Could it be that "available menu commands" has been set to too restrictive a setting? THere's a drop down for this that defaults to "minimum" when you create a new privilege set and it often trips up folks new to this process.
