Similar question when having products of different categories and want to open a menu list that show only products of specific category. I appreciate any help.
If there is the slightest chance that a vendor can also be a customer, keep them in one table so that you don't end up with two records for the same person.
You can set up a conditional value list that lists only vendors or only customers.
This CVL can be relationship based or based on a calculation field.
