Once I open FMP files in FMP16 can I move them back to the older version. In my case FMP14

16 uses the same file format as previous versions, back to 12. That being said, if the file has been set to require a certain version to open, you will not be able to open it in prior versions.
The setting is in File Options, and is recommended that you set it to the appropriate version for the set of features you implement in the file, so there is no confusion.
In the File Options, make sure that the value set is for the oldest version you want used. If set to 16, 15 or older will not be able to open the file. If set to 14, 14 or newer can open the file.
