Is there a way to modify the title of the application that shows above the status bar? Normally it would have the name of the "file".fmp12
I assume you mean the Window Title? If so, the script step you are looking for is named "Set Window Title "
No.... at the very top of each screen you will usually see whatever you named your application. Right now mine has a ? it usually says The App but I must have changed something and I would like to set it back. It's located above the Status Bar.
What OS and what version of fileMaker?
MacOS Sierra 10.12.5 Filemaker 14 ADV
Can you show us a screen shot of what you are seeing (the question mark) ?
See the attached.... 1 shows the name of the application.... The App IP
On the other the "?" went away and now it's blank.
open the data viewer and enter
Then select the various open windows and see if the blank one shows a window name in the data viewer.
Do you use MBS FileMaker Plugin?
We do have a Window.SetTitle function to change window name.
For Windows you can also use Window.SetTitleIcon to change the icon next to the title.
For Mac we can also change dock tile with App.SetDockIcon and app name via App.SetProcessName.
