Our windows computers with Filemaker 13 Pro Advanced cannot access Filemaker database on computer with Filemaker Pro Advanced 16 through Open Remote, but all our Macs work fine. Is there a setting that changed? The host computer also has Filemaker 13 Pro Advanced and everything works fine.
If a file is being hosted by FileMaker Pro 16 or FileMaker Server 16 then only FileMaker Pro 14, 15, and 16 clients can connect to it.
I'm guessing that your Mac machines are likely using a newer version of FileMaker Pro than your lone Windows machine is. And I am also taking a guess that perhaps the host machine is opening the file directly (versus opening it using FileMaker network sharing) which is why it appears to work.
But there is no setting to allow a v13 client to connect to a FileMaker solution that is hosted with v16.
