    Gmail API integration on Filemaker16

    lzoli

      Hi Community,

I'm here because we have need to integrate the Gmail API with our Filemaker 16 solution: we have already done integration with Google Calendar API and we tried to add Gmail now.

We have Google OAuth credentials of application type "Other", we have add the Gmail scopes but this returned "invalid_scopes" from Google.

Reading on the web seems that can not use the Gmail API with this OAuth Credentials application type, so we need to change with "Web" application type.

Can this change be useful for integrating Gmail API with our Filemaker 16 solution?

      Have a good day

Not enough information.  What is exactly that you want to do?

We need to integrate Google Calendar API and Google Mail API into our FM solution.

From the Google Developer Console (https://console.developers.google.com/ ) we have created new prioject and then new ones credentials for authentication / authorization process, and we activated the API.

Reading from the Google Documentation we chose credentials of application type "Other", this work fine for Google Calendar API, but when we add the scope for Gmail API to constant paramenters, Google returns a Json containing "invalid_scope" message: to interact with Google we used a cURL script.

We have also tried to use credentials of application type "Web Application", but these do not seem to work with FM.

We'd like to know if we can integrate Gmail API within the FM using credentials of application type "Other", or know if this can be possible using credentials of application type "Web Application", or other ideas?

            Thanks for the answers,
