This is my case: I have a website and I have a local database in filemaker pro 15.
I will like to know how I can upload my filemaker database to my website?
Realistically you need FileMaker Server.
I do have Filemaker Server 15
Your options could be Custom Web Publishing, ODBC, or WebDirect. Depends on your site and your data and what you are trying to do. not a whole lot of info to go on here.
If you upgrade to FMS16 there is a Data API that might be quite useful for you.
No, you cannot upload a file to a website and open it. You could open the file remotely but that is different and the host may block that.
Also, your website host may not allow you to upload FMS.
There are various hosts that offer inexpensive hosting and fmphost is about the cheapest. They also have websites so you could tie the two together and have one host for both.
If you are hosting your website on your own computer, then you could use FMS.
FileMaker WebDirect is a rather expensive way to use FileMaker as a page deliverer but it works.

You don't need to go with a FM hosting company just to do web publishing, you don't need FMS in the same place as your web server. If you have your own FMS and it is reachable from the internet then you can upload your PHP/.NET/Ruby/Python pages to your web server and have it communicate to your FMS.
Every day I am reminded of that quote I read recently:
