How to confirm a compound found set is a subset of records

When performing a few finds to gather a set of records ( a couple of Extend Found Set commands), I'm looking for a method to detect that a subset of all records has been found. Using Get(LastError) doesn't help as a previous find may have some records. When no records match any of the criteria, the found set is all records - not the desired result as I'm looking to delete the complete found set. I could break the script and delete at each find, but that doesn't strike me as very elegant. Nor does capturing the total number of records and comparing to the found set as it may be possible to have all records meet some level of the find.

Maybe there isn't a good answer to this, maybe I've forgotten some script step that would solve this for me. I'm hoping that the community knows of a more precise approach.

Thanks in advance!
