Can you please simply your question to be more generic and have less "CGST/SGST" terms?
The posting, while well written, will be confusing to many.
From what I gather from your posting, it sounds like you may just need a calculated field with some basic "if" logic, however.
Ditto. I am also assuming that CGST 9% & SGST 9% is actually "CGST 9% & SGST 9%" and not some other concatenated value.
Thanks for your reply
Yes both are tax category if I sold goods within a state than tax ( CGST 9% + SGST 9% ) Will be charged and if I sold outside state than tax ( IGST 18% ) will be charged. So my assumption is that if I select company whose city name is within a state ( my state field is M.P.) than through calculation or by any other method in tax type field shall be as ( CGST 9% + SGST 9% ) and if instead of my state some another states are there than tax type field will be ( IGST 18% ).
Sorry for my less and confusion details.
My first question is do have to calculate the two 9%s as separate values and add them together or are they calculated as 18%?
It seems a simple calculation along these lines would work.
If MyState = CustomerState
then TaxType = "CGST 9% + SGST 9%"
Else TaxType = "IGST 18%"

Sorry I confused you. I was just giving the logic of what you needed, not how FM needed it, not knowing if you were using it as field def. or in a script.
