I would like to find out which are inactive now.
If that's the purpose for the export, it would be easier to use a third party tool such as Inspector Pro, Base Elements or others with FileMaker's DDR to look for unused fields.

ExecuteSQL ( “SELECT TableName, FieldName, FieldType FROM FileMaker_Fields” ; “” ; “” )
The above calc will return a list of all fields in the entire database, including table name, and what type of field it is.
Run it through your data viewer and then copy and paste out where needed.
I must be having a bad day as I've been playing with this on SQL all day but just specifying which fields to use...

I missed the "inactive" part of the first post.
I agree with philmodjunk then. DDR analysis is the right way to go on that one. It's a bit of an arduous task to figure out which fields are truly "inactive" though, since fields can be referenced in dozens of places, any one of which could make them "active".
