And what relationship do you have in place to the table of employee contact info?
Do you want to always see the most up to date contact info on this record once you have selected an employee or do you want to copy over the contact info to record what was current at the time you selected the employee? (both options are possible, which is best for your solution depends one what you need from your solution.)
Either way, it starts from a relationship:
YourLayout'sTableOccurrenceHere::EmployeeID = EmployeeTable::__pkEmployeeID
You format YourLayout'sTableOccurrenceHere::EmployeeID with a value list of employee IDs and employee names so that selecting an employee links the current record on your layout to a specific record in the employee table.
Then you can add fields from EmployeeTable to your layout to show the contact info if you want dynamic always up to date contact info. Or you can add fields from the layout's table that are set to auto-enter or lookup contact info from the selected EmployeeTable record if you want a copy of the data to show what was current at the time you selected an employee.
This is a general description. Please post back with follow up questions on any parts of this that you need additional info on in order to do.
Thanks again Phil, you always make the lightbulb go off. Always current would of course be best. Excellent and simple method. Smacking my head now for not thinking of that.
