I don't know if this matters.
I launched FileMaker Advanced this morning and got the in-app update for 16.0.2. Click the button and then the application crashed. After I dismissed the button not he report to Apple, FileMaker Advanced re-launched by itself and it appears that it was updated.

The updater is its own application, so even if FileMaker Pro crashes, the updater will continue running.
Even though FileMaker Pro 16.0.2 is now running, our Development and Testing teams would like to see the crash report. I have sent you a private message with instructions where to send the crash report.
