Have FM Server 14 install and when checking out FMPro 16 returns ~'The host does not not support this version of FileMaker'.
Works fine for FMP 15... Is above correct behaviour?
Check you have installed the most recent updates for FM Server 14, the Knowledge Base article System Requirements for FileMaker Pro 16 and FileMaker Pro 16 Advanced | FileMaker
FileMaker Pro 16 and FileMaker Pro 16 Advanced can connect to the following hosts:
FileMaker Server 16, 15 and 14 FileMaker Pro 16, 15 and 14
FileMaker Pro 16, 15 and 14 Advanced FileMaker Cloud 1.15.1 minimum The latest updates must be applied to the above software before hosting FileMaker Pro 16 apps.
I don't have a 14 server available to test
Just tested FileMaker Pro v18.104.22.168 on a Mac connecting to FileMaker Server 22.214.171.1243 running on a hosted Windows 2012 Server and no problem, including a green SSL certificate icon in the top right corner.
Bingo Bongo... updated 14.0.3 to 14.0.4 did the trick...
Tx for the lead!!!
Great news EL
Glad it worked
Orlando, Sorry for the long delay! Having retired last year [for the second time] FMPro updating has not been on my priority list of things to do.
The answer was the Mac OS. FMPro 16 requires FMS 14 be on OS 10.11.x. It was not. I used mac minis to serve because it best fit my "Small Business Community" of server users. [5-20 users] And it was cheap alternative to keeping the Servers 12, 13, 14, and 15 segregated for support and debugging. The minis run 24-7 just like in the real world and are cheap. When they reach their end of usefulness I store their Backup and reconfigure them [restored to original configuration w/o FMPro or FMS] to give [minis] to family and friends.
Anyway Thanks for the link to the requirements.
