ODBC connection is being made using a Windows 10 PC and MS Excel/Query
FMS is Mac and you are not using the Actual Tech driver?
or are you on Windows (client with FMP/FMPA) and using another ODBC driver?
I am on a Windows client. I'm able to access the database, but we are seeing weird issues when using MS Query and Excel, I installed this version (V14) of the ODBC driver:
Also, can you explain FMS? Excuse my ignorance but I am not a developer and do not normally work in an Apple environment.
AH! you are sharing your database(s) with ODBC and have the drivers on the machine making the query? If this is FMServer hosted data being shared, the correct drivers are the ones in your link. Remember that the driver goes on the machine making the query. If you are on your Mac, then the Mac driver is used there. If you are on a Windows, then the Windows driver is used there. It is not what is on the Server, but the "client" making the call.
Your FMServer is MAC, it does not matter which client accesses it. What version of FMServer are you using & is it the latest version?
What are you trying to do with "MS Excel/Query"? Can you post the query?
The dates on FileMaker may not be the same format or the same starting date:
(day 1 on Excel is not the same as day 1 on FileMaker, if you are using a number instead of date)
You also mention "SQL box", do you have another database in the mix? If so, how is it being used with FileMaker Pro/FileMaker Server?
