The fact that the text contains commas shouldn't prevent either CSV or Merge file exports. The text will be enclosed in quotes to set up columns of data that may coincidentally contain commas. This is standard for CSV format, but always check with the receiving application to make sure that this does not create an issue for them as you never know what limits another app might have in its design.
