Perhaps you can explain a little more about why you need to do this? There may be other methods.
Hi Beverly... I need it to run a script that tracks package deliveries, when every on is logged out but not while users are logged in inputting info... Michael

You can schedule scripts to run on FileMaker Server.
I would guess that if people are inputting data, your script encounters trouble due to edit locked records as your script can't modify data in a record that a user has open for editing.
You can set set up a script that detects when a record is locked in order to take appropriate action to deal with the lock. You might also be able to avoid the lock by using a related record. Those are very general suggestions as I'd need to know more about your script and data model to tell if either approach is possible/practical.
Hi Beverly ...I know it's possible... Unfortunately I dont know how script it... which is why I need some one to give me a sample script... How would you script it? Mike
Thanks Tom ..I will bear that in mind ... But I still need to know the script. Mike
Hi Phil.. They are only entering data to globals so locking is t a problem... Mike
You already have the script above -- seems a little odd, but anyway -- this isn't really about the script, it's about logging into the server admin console and setting up a schedule.
The script is basically
Go to layout ( Input )
if get(usercount) = 0
---your script steps
To run the script at a regular schedule go to the FileMaker Server admin console and add a new script schedule that calls that script.
Remember that the "on first window open" trigger will run and also any other relevant triggers and that may get in the way of the operation of your schedule.
If the purpose of your input time script is to call another script at a regular interval then you don't need to do that, the script scheduler allows you to schedule a script to run every x minutes.
Do you want
If [ Get(UserCount) = 1 ]
your job here
1 means only you (PSOS script) open the file.
But I can't get why you need it if record locking is not matter...

Scripts running on FMS won't update global fields on a client computer.
Your script will have a problem when the clock traverses midnight. Use a timestamp instead of time to avoid this.
