Assuming the following:
Students have their own table.
Tests and score results are on a related table.
You should be able to create fields (maxscore A,B or C) on the student table for Max(testable::testscore) for each of the A B C tests. You can then use Conditional formatting to set the text colour of each score with the formula testscoreA=students::maxscoreA etc. That should work.
Obviously if you have more than one record where the scores are the same highest result, they will all display in colour.

Does it matter which of the tests taken by a student had the maximum score (especially since tests can have duplicate scores) or just what the maximum score for a student is? If it is the latter, you should consider using summary fields and displaying the maximum on top or below each student section in the report.
i would like to highlight the test with the highest total scores. For example, for john, i would like to highlight the 2nd test with total scores 200. For jenny, 2nd test should be highlighted.
