Some more info would be helpful.
If this is a sub summary report, sort on the sub summary part then a field in the body part.
Sidemark, the one in red?
Pull down the records menu, select "Sort records" and specify the SideMark field as well as whether you want ascending, descending or a custom sort order. Then sort.
Or you can script this to do the sort automatically. The sort records script step uses exactly the same dialog. There is also a second sort records step: Sort Records by Field that enables a script to sort on a single field that you can use.
What script trigger would you suggest using?
Why would you need a script trigger?
When would you want such a sort to take place?
See this demo by NightWing (Dr Cologon):

NOTE: this says "FileMaker 9", but the file will convert just fine!
Basically, you have the "body" contents into a sub-summary (sorted by the primary key). Remove the body part altogether. If you include the primary key in the sort, the "part" shows, if you don't only the standard summary parts show.
I used this for part of my demo (comparing list reports to filtered portals):
Thank you Beverly, I'll look it over.
