    FileMaker Pro Advanced, and user licenses for shared business solutions.

      With FileMaker Pro Advanced, a shared business solution can be used by up to 5 users simultaneously without having to install a Filemaker Server but I am told that each user must have a Filemaker license installed in their PC in order to be able to access the shared business solution.

       

      Can anyone clarify this license requirement in this context for me please?

       

      I am not sure I understand why a user license is needed once a business solution is shared and in this case I see no difference in using Filemaker Pro instead for each user.

       

      Or have I misunderstood the license requirement?
