I have a field automatically set up to enter a unique serial number, e.g., "sn" & incremental number. There is a larger number of matching records in a different table that I need to search.

A script that includes the search terms for "sn1" also finds other unique serial numbers with "sn1" in them, for example "sn10,11,12,13..." etc. "Sn2" also finds "sn20". You get the picture.

How do I generate unique serial numbers that aren't confused with longer integers? Or change the search term for a perfect match?
