Navigating between layouts connected via external related table

Hi all,

I have been stumped by this problem & am hopeful you can help me:

I have two databases that are both referencing external tables from a third database, for security reasons.

Database 1's primary layout is based on Table A from Database 3

Database 2's primary layout is based on Table B from Database 3

Records from Table A & Table B are connected: Table A = "employees", Table B = "projects", and they are connected when a person works on a project (via timesheets).

The problem occurs when I want to move out of Database 1 to go to the related record from Database 2 and vice versa. When the tables the layouts are based on were native I was able to accomplish this using "go to related record", but this script step does not recognize that I want to reference a record from Table B while using a layout from Database 2, not Database 3.

Please let me know if you have thoughts on how to work around this. I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you!

Jenna
