PDF Printing Failure from Adobe Reader

When generating a report in FileMaker v., a PDF is created that opens for me in Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat DC (depending what is installed).  When attempting to print from Adobe Reader, it sends the appropriate print command to our HP printer, but nothing actually prints.  The print command even queues behind other print jobs for this printer, but then disappears.  The printer at this point does nothing.  No errors are thrown on either the printer or the computer.  However, when printing using Adobe Acrobat DC, the PDF prints perfectly fine to that same printer.  In both cases, I have saved the PDF to an alternate location and attempted to print.

Does anyone have any ideas of what might be going on/how to fix the problem?  We've gotten around the issue just by using Adobe Acrobat, but we would like the ability to also use Adobe Reader.  Thank you!
