Hi, why I see this error when I want to open my project on FileMaker go?
NOTE: I upload this project to File Maker Server.
See the following link security guide.
As you See I marked everything, what is a problem?
How are you opening the file? Are your opening scripts trying to run an external command ( Apple events or a Windows Active X control )?
fmscriptdisabled: disables those script steps from running.
Allow Apple events and ActiveX to perform FileMaker operations ( fmextscriptaccess ): allows those same actions.
So there is a conflict there. Resolve that an try again.
I want to open my project on FileMaker GO.
any good advice?
Plenty of good advice has already been suggested. Have you taken (tested/tried) any of it?
IF you have tried the suggestions and they failed, please reply with how and why they failed. If they did not fail, but did not meet your expectations, then please explain why and how!
I take a picture and explain what is my problem but I didn't get a good answer.
and still, I have this issue
Good luck Bev.
You clearly have not looked at the suggestions that you have gotten if you still have the problem.
look over his million + threads.. That's his MO.
We keep leading him right to the water, in some cases sticking his head right in it, and he refuses to drink.
You are so right! He needs to find a FileMaker Developer that have time to sit next to him and explain what needs to do.
And that has also been suggested previously, Johan!
This is an excellent opportunity to show your boss that you know how to solve problems.
We know the problem is simple.
We know that the problem is solvable.
We know that kind, experienced people have given good suggestions.
We know that you should not need anybody else to help you solve this problem.
If you DO solve the problem, tell your boss and tell us how you did it.
If you do NOT solve your problem, tell your boss that somebody else should be doing your job.
Send THAT person to ask questions.
Did you make the changes to the hosted file. (file you uploaded to FMS)
FMS installs a sample file, FMServer_Sample.fmp12. Under the Activity Tab in FMS you will see a list of databases. You will see a dot under Go/Pro when it is setup correctly to access. Can you access the sample database?
I don't know why people want to be rude, if you don't want to help someone then don't post. There are users out there that have just begun using FM. Would you be rude to a 1st grader because he/she couldn't pass the ACT. It would seem to me that you would want to grow the community and you don't do that by being an ass.
Those 2 extended privileges conflict with each other, and are likely the source of the problem. Uncheck the fmscriptdisabled and see if it makes a difference. If it does, then you need to figure out if you need to have that ability on or off.
Essentially, do you need to allow Apple events or ActiveX to run? If not, then turn fmscriptdisabled on and then turn off fmextscriptaccess.
