So, here it is. The issue is a bit basic, I know, but I haven't been able find a solution I can depend on.
I want to use a script to check if there is a set of related child records for a selected parent record. If there is, I want to delete the related child records. If there isn't, I don't want to delete anything!! If I Find the related set of child records and Delete all, I risk deleting the entire set of child records if no related child records exist. Likewise, if I use Go to related record(s) then Delete all, I have a similar risk.
How do I script a foolproof check on whether there are any related child records before proceeding with the Delete all script step?
I have considered using Get(FoundCount) or Get(LastError) but I'm not convinced that these are reliable.
Thanks for looking at this question.
