Is there a way to force a Lookup field to update if the value in the Source table changes?
The parent table ORGS contains customer information including the dates of various events such as the Free Trial Date, Order Date and Cancel Date. If an Org has not canceled, the Cancel Date is blank.
ORGS is related to PERIODS based on the value in ORGS::Date Canceled. Based on this relationship, I want to lookup PERIODS::Period Nbr and store it in ORGS:Period Canceled,
The lookup works unless the value in ORG::Date Canceled is deleted after the initial lookup. If the Date Canceled in changed to a different date, the lookup value is updated. But, if the date value is deleted, the previously looked up value doesn't update even though the relationship between the tables is broken.
Is there a better way to keep the value of ORGS:Period Canceled current?
