In FM13 could access the Layout mode, and therefore edit a script, when the menu bar was hidden. In FM 16 I can't figure out how to edit a script when the menu bar is hidden. Please advise.
Thank you very much,
Ctrl+Shift+s opens the Script Workspace.
Ctrl+L switches to layout mode
For developing I made a script and checked the box (so it can be accessed by shortcut keys) that toggles between showing all menus, toolbars, formatting bars, etc. and hiding all. You can only access it from Browse mode so you would have to hit Ctrl+1 (if it's the first checked script) before going into layout mode.
I wish you could set a preference so when you go into Layout Mode, it automatically shows everything, then when you switch back to browse, it hides everything.
Thank you so much. Clearly I need to find and read the FM 16 what's
I think that automatically revealing the menu bar in layout mode would be a great product idea to post. If you create it, I'll vote for it.
I already did after I posted my last response. After I hit send, I have no idea where it went.
I posted it here:
Company | FileMaker
But don't see an option for where to check for or vote for existing ideas.
Edit: per Phil's suggestion, I also posted it on this site here:Toolbar, menu bar, formatting bar options.
Click Home, then click Product Ideas and post it there. You can post a link to it back here if you want to make it easy for others to vote for your idea.
