The parent/child relationship is set between tables. “Allow Creation” is selected in the child table. And the related field “ID_NO” is set to pick up its value from the parent. The child table is set to be edited in a tab.  So far, so good. But, when I go to the tab, the fields are all there to enter data, BUT, the “ID_NO” field doesn’t actually show up until I enter data in one of the other fields in the child table.  What am I missing? Or, is this normal?  Is there a non-scripted solution I’m missing?
