ExecuteSQL case sensitivity issue

I'm having an issue with case sensitivity in an ExecuteSQL function. Here's my current calc:

ExecuteSQL ( "SELECT count (*)  FROM Students WHERE " & GetSQLFieldName ( Students::Code ) & " = ? AND " & GetSQLFieldName ( Students::Selected ) & " = ?" ; "" ; "" ; Schools::Code ; "Yes" )

The problem is the records for Students::Selected field have either "yes" or "Yes" entered - I had assumed they were always "Yes". I've tried using the Lower function but that hasn't worked - is there a way I can change the calculation to count either the "yes" or the "Yes" records?

Thanks
