FMP 12.v04

WIndows 10 / 64 bit / 16GB RAM / Intel Core i7-6700 cpu

My database file is 220MB with about 30K records.

Have been using this configuration for several years with no issues. We are using v.12 so that we can have 10 users on Filemaker Network Sharing. Here is the problem that just began happening :

Open task manager so that you can see FM memory usage

Create a new blank layout, add a field to the layout, select the field and drag it to a new location, watch the memory usage go up every time you drag and move the field.

If you click "Save Layout" the memory goes back down to it's normal level. Drag the field around again and it goes up with each new drag.

If you get to a certain point of memory usage you get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime error: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way." Filemaker stops working.

As I mentioned I have been using this installation of FMP 12 for quite some time without any issues of this type, and then this just started to happen within the last few days. Nothing new has been installed on the computer.
