Does anyone know what's up with the Insights dashboard? Maybe I missed the information in one of the "new FileMaker Community" posts.
"insights" is a Jive feature:
Offering you a personal dashboard of reports regarding (from the above link):
what their social graph, their most popular content, their contribution trends and their personal reach, impact and sentiment based on their contributions. This will provide a level of self gratification to the users, which would likely result in a higher level of engagement on the community.
So essentially just a report card on how your posting has affected the community. Not sure if all aspects of this are working. But if you think it's useful, make sure to tell RosemaryTietge as such.
Thanks for this info! It appears that Insights is not working yet (there's an error message included in the attached screenshot, but it's not visible until you click "Show more"). Maybe it's just my profile that doesn't have any data since this is my first time logging in since the new FM Community went live. I know that there are people who are really in to analytics, but I'm more focused on the learning and sharing aspects currently.
I got the error as well. When I clicked "retry" it did load the graphs for me.
I tagged Rosemary so she can chime in if needed on the status of that feature.
Since the Jive update just happened a week ago, there could be lingering pieces that need to be tied back together in order for it to function reliably.
I clicked the "Retry" link in the error message, but it isn't loading anything on the Insights page. I'll try again another time.
As mikebeargie pointed out, Insights is a new feature of our community platform. It is a way for individual members to see the impact they have across the community -- who do you interact with and what kind of reach your content has. It's focused on discussions you start and questions you ask and not on replies to others.
Although the feature looks at data over the past 12 months, it just started capturing data after we completed the upgrade 2 weeks ago. For most members, that means you won't actually see anything unless you started a viral thread in the last week or so.
I did not include anything about this new feature in my Welcome to the new FileMaker Community post because it's so new and won't have meaningful insights for most members for a few more months.
The error appears most of times when open the page, this may be problem other than there are no enough data to show meaningful result. (Maybe too heavy to calculate all data for all dashboards items?)
And "retry" loads some more parts but some parts become nothing.
This feature is interesting, but looks not so helpful for community users for helping each other. Should I care about "how many users viewed my post and liked it" ?
