I'm using new MacBook Pro 2017 with filmmaker 16, when I used old Mac mini, it was not laggy when clicked drop-down list to choose value, but why the fastest laptop feel slow?
You are correct! The new update 16.0.3 released today resolves the issue:
"macOS High Sierra 10.13: Interaction with a drop-down list was slow."
Software Update: FileMaker Pro 16.0.3 and FileMaker Pro Advanced 16.0.3 | FileMaker
Perhaps the Mac Mini has faster, wired network access? Or better wireless reception where it is located?
Or perhaps it's because there is more data in the database now?
Are you comparing side-by-side?
Not connect to internet, for example, I have one drop list, with only a few fixed values, but when I click arrow, It takes nearly 0.8 sec to show up all the values, and then I choose one value, it takes another 1 sec to fill in the blank.
What's the problem?
So this is a local file - not hosted?
And if you copy this file back to the original computer, it still runs fast?
I copied to my old computer, running faster than my new laptop when drop down the list.
Guess not compatible with macOS High Sierra?
Thank you so much, it works!
