cURL - get HTTP Response Code

I'm trying to find the best way to get the HTTP Response Code (e.g. 200, 401 etc) using the new cURL options in FileMaker Pro v16 - essentially I'm after the equivalent of the BE_HTTP_Response_Code BaseElements plugin function.

I'm using:

" -D $responseHeaders"

to get the full response headers but after a way to just get the response code so I can check if it was 200 etc. Haven't been able to find an option for this so far.
