cURL - download file to temp folder

I'm using cURL to download a file to a container field using the Insert from URL script step targetting the container field - this is all working well. The file is inserted into the container field, but what I would really like to do is download the file (these are all images) first to the temp folder to a path like this:

Get (TemporaryPath) & $filename

then use the Insert from URL to insert the file again, which will this time insert it as an image so I can see the picture in the container field rather than just the file icon.

I haven't been able to get this to work so far - anyone know if it's possible to download a file to the temp folder when using the cURL options in FileMaker Pro v16.
