Hi, I have two tabs on my layout, how can I change some buttons when tab 2 is active?
this works but requires a refresh window
read up on the onPanelSwitch trigger and the Get(TriggertargetPanel) function FileMaker Pro 16 Help
I can't find anything to help me, however thanks
If you use the trigger i mentioned to set a global variable or field to the target panel's name and use the global as a condition for the hide object when in the inspector for a button you will get what you want.
But i guess its too difficult to figure out on your own.
This is a confusing thing to get set up. In this case, I don't think you want to use the OnPanelSwitch trigger, which fires before processing the action (switching panels). Try this instead:
Some script triggers fire before processing the action and others fire after processing the action. The OnPanelSwitch trigger will fire before the panel switches. The OnObjectModify trigger fires after processing the action (in this case, switching panels). I used OnObjectModify because I wanted to use GetLayoutObjectAttribute in the hide condition and I want GetLayoutObjectAttribute to tell me the front panel AFTER the switch has occurred.
very very thank you for your help man.
