I made all my layouts using a 32 bit FM14 and now I want to switch using 64 bit FM, can I use my 32 bit layouts on 64 bit FM14? I know some of the buttons may need to be reconfigured from 32 bit to 64 bit. Or, do I have to start all over using 64 bit FM14? Hopefully not. Reason for the switch, apart from installing the wrong software, some of the buttons on FM 32 bit, especially those associated with scripts, don't work on a 64 bit machine, e-mail client an example. Everything else I've done so far works great.
Everything will be fine, nothing needs converting: it all works on Macintosh computers too.
With Windows, the biggest gottcha is that for FMP's Send Mail script step to work correctly, the FMP application must be the same architecture (32 or 64 bit) as the mail client. By default Office is installed 32 bit even on 64 bit Windows. If you want to use 64 bit FMP then make sure the mail program is also 64 bit, which might require reinstalling the mail program (particularly if it's Office).
