I was a experience user of Filemaker back in 1998.  I used a Mac and created a form with all the relationships.  I remember that I imported the data (cost per unit) and my form help me create an work estimate with the correct pricing picked from a lookup window.

I am back now in need to do the same project. But there has been changes. I just want to know if there has been a fundamental change on the way that the forms are created. One thing that I am very interests is to have the form read information and write the information to a outside MS SQL database located in a remote server.  Back on thise time, the data had to reside in the desktop computer and there was no option to read and write to a foreign database.
