I recently upgraded my 2010 Desktop Mac to High Sierra. Since the the upgrade, FileMakerPro 11 crashes when I do sorts etc. Any insight would be most welcome.
FMP 11 is not certified for 10.13 and, as you demonstrate, it's not compatible.
Either downgrade the OS to 10.12 or upgrade FMP to 16.
FileMaker Pro 11 is not compatible with Mac OS High Sierra. You can run Parallells/VMWare on your Mac and continue to run FMP11, but else you got upgrade
Version 11, 12 and 13 will crash under high sierra, mostly when dialogs appear/disappear and when quitting
Maybe a future patch of high sierra might solve that - but FM11 was introduced 7 years ago, there is no way to patch a version that old...
There are reports, that FM9 and FM10 are running under high sierra - but with those versions, other problems exist
Don't love to say this - but it's time to upgrade, switch to Windows or run a virtual machine (what is not the coolest thing for daily used applications, at least when it comes to macOS)
Your comments were what I suspected. I like to push apps as long as I can, but I guess it's time up-grade to 16.
