Product and version: FileMaker Pro 16.0.3
OS and version: Windows 10
Hardware: Multiple, only tested on non-hi-res screens
When a text field is formatted as a drop-down list or auto-fill and has a font size above 14 points the list will cover the text field obscuring the field being typed into. The problem gets particularly bad at very large font sizes for example when a field was formatted as 24-point the auto-fill box extended beyond the layout area and overwrote the toolbar. The initial problem was observed on a "Classic" themed layout as well as "Vibrant" and "Sophisticated" themed layouts. The problem does not appear on a layout in the Enlightened, Luminous, or Tranquil themes.
The problem does not occur in FileMaker Pro 15.0.3 or on a Mac but was observed on multiple Windows 10 machines running FileMaker Pro or Pro Advanced 16.0.3.
How to replicate
1. Build a database with a single text field.
2. Put it on a layout in the Vibrant theme in 15 point or larger size and set it to auto-fill
3. Create 20 or more records with unique values in them all of them starting with a
4. Create a new record and type an "a" into the field and watch the auto-fill list cover the text
I have attached a screen-shot of the problem and a database that exhibits the issue.
Workaround (if any)
Use a font no larger than 14 points or use one of the themes that is not affected.
