I just updated my Mac to 10.13.1 High Sierra.
When I try and save my fmp12 file I get the above. Ugly and irritation. I suppose it will be addressed
in the next FMP update??
I would file a bug report in the Report a Product Issue section of this community. FMI may not be aware of the issue.
A large dialog space blocking options has been reported previously (FMP16 and High Sierra). Is this similar to your issue?

It has been suggested that I may not have the current version of Java... Nope
Any change if you move back to JRE 8 update 131?
Yes, I believe it is similar.
The interesting thing about this situation is:
So it goes.... Time to wait....
From the FileMaker Tech Support responses to the previous threads I referred to, this is not related to Java. It is a known issue.
Please see the threads in my previous message. The following link was cited:

I just opened FMA 15 and tried to save to my Google Drive.
Same result as 16.
What's different? Java was upgraded when I upgraded MacOS to 10.13.1 High Sierra
I wish Apple and it's subsidiary Filemaker would talk about this issue...
Just to be clear, this is my experience (FMPA 16) stand alone app

I'm also with JAVA 8 Update 151 => no issue.
I'm with macOS 10.13.2 beta 3. I recommend to update 10.13.2 public as soon as it arrives.
Thanks for that reference BeatriceBeaubien, I somehow missed that along the way.
I played around with this for a bit last night. I see the gray box appear when I click the little arrow to the right of the file name to expand/collapse the options. If you flip that switch, does it change the behavior?
