My department has been using FileMaker Pro (version 4) for over a decade. Out of the blue today, FileMaker would not open on the host computer. We have tried to open it on a different computer, with the same result. This is the message we receive: "The access privileges in this file have been damaged or possibly tampered with". We have attempted to recover using the "Recover..." function in FileMaker Pro, but the resulting "recovered" file still will not open and when trying to open it, it still displays the same error message. After attempting to recover the file using FileMaker Pro, a message appears saying "Recovery is complete"
What other steps can I take?
