Hi,

Filemaker has tested 5 certificates in combination with FMS 15

GeoTrust

True BusinessID

Comodo

Comodo Elite SSL Certificate

EV SSL

Symantec

Secure Site SSL Certificate

Thawte

SSL123 Certificate (under SHA-1 Root)

GoDaddy

Standard SSL

Chrome 62 shows a warning in the html editor about Symantec certificates:

The certificate used to load .....  uses an SSL certificate that will be distrusted in an upcoming release of Chrome. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading this resource. See https://g.co/chrome/symantecpkicerts for more information.

Chrome 66 is currently scheduled to be released to Chrome Beta users on March 15, 2018 and to Chrome Stable users around April 17, 2018. Starting with Chrome 66, Chrome will remove trust in Symantec-issued certificates (also Geotrust, Thawte, Rapid SSL and Trustprovider certificates) issued prior to June 1, 2016.

Symantec has sold their certifcate business to Digicert. Many Symantec certificates must and will be renewed now based on the new Digicert certification root. If not, users will be prevented by Chrome from loading this resource. The renewal seems to be free of charge, so we will keep Symantec certificates.

If we have to buy other certificates, it will cost money, so we prefer to choose the free of charge renewal based on Digicert root.

My question is: will Filemaker still support Symantec certificates after march 2018?
